Course description

The GSCE and A-Level Portfolio Projects course is designed to complement the national art curriculum and gives students the opportunity to spend a couple of hours in the studio every week with a focus on further developing their drawing skills.

Students thrive in our creatively-inclined environment where we teach them to draw both from observation and from their imaginations. We believe that both drawing from observation and from the imagination are invaluable skills to have when it comes to drawing as it allows the artist to be as diverse and creative as possible, bounding off of the two skills to create holistic art.

In addition to developing their drawing and painting abilities, the course allows students to use pottery, textile and printmaking facilities which include access to a kiln, sewing machines, heat press and an etching press. Our GSCE and A-Level Portfolio Projects courses are proven to be a success for the creativity that they encourage with many students going on to gain admission to and graduate with arts degrees in addition to working in creative industries.
