About the Fund
We aim to make art accessible to everyone, irrespective of income, experience, ability or age.
The Sponsorship Fund is funded by our monthly pop-up nights, events such as our Summer Party, annual Winter Sale, Yard Sale and also by individual donations from our generous supporters.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.
If you are interested in making a donation, please contact email@example.com.
Our Sponsorship Fund provides the following:
1. Individual sponsorship
Through our Sponsorship Fund we offer subsidised places in our classes and workshops for children who would not otherwise be able to afford to attend.
We have found that it is particularly beneficial to offer this to primary school aged children in Years 4 and 5 (8-10 year olds). We can support their creative development.
This helps them build their confidence as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. It also allows children to apply to secondary schools that have places reserved for pupils with an existing art portfolio e.g. Holland Park.
The fund offers the following at our after school art classes:
1 x 100% funded place for 3 years, awarded on merit annually.
1 x 50% funded place for 1 year (3 terms)
1 x 50% funded place for 1 term
If you would like your child to be considered for the Sponsorship Fund, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The criteria for securing a place is based on financial need and the outcome of an interview with the parents and the child.
2. Community projects
The Sponsorship Fund has enabled us to set up and run two weekly community based classes at the Sulgrave Club on Goldhawk Road and Addison Youth Centre in West Kensington.
These classes are offered to these youth clubs and their members at a subsidised rate.
We are also working with Wendell Park Primary. The SEN, Gifted & Talented children from the school attend a regular Create in Clay class at Kite Studios.
If you have an idea for a community project, please contact email@example.com
3. Creative Summer Camp
During the summer months the Sponsorship Fund enables us to run a Summer Camp of art activities for a group of local families.
For example, during the summer of 2014 the fund paid for the hire of a minibus. A group of local families spent a weekend doing art in the Cotswolds. Kindly hosted by Bill and Diana Herford at Upper court holidays cottages in Kemerton.
We plan to run another camp during 2016 to benefit more local families.
