Private Art Tuition
Suitable for you?
Private art tuition can help students of any age and ability to develop confidence, learn to express themselves, refresh skills, experiment with new media, materials and equipment, build a portfolio, prepare for an exam or assessment or simply have some fun.
We have a team of teachers with a range of different skills and experience and can discuss your particular requirements and find a convenient time. We can support students preparing for Art Scholarship assessments and those working towards GCSE and A Level Art at school. We also offer Trinity Arts Awards.
We can offer tuition at Kite Studios in our fully equipped art, printing and pottery studios. Or we can offer tuition via Zoom.
What we do
Through a combination of observational and experimental approaches, we will practise drawing and/or painting class techniques such as: composition, shading, depth, line, dimension and self-expression. A variety of still life subjects will be available for our study which will be complimented with visual references to the work of artists from both history and contemporary genres.
You are welcome to propose a project brief of your own or receive tailor-made encouraging art instruction by our experienced teachers, many of whom are also practicing artists.
Times and Duration
Minimum class duration is one hour. Flexible times, dates and class duration are available.
The cost is £60 per hour for the first person, and if you would like to invite anyone else to participate in the same session, the price is £18 per additional person per hour (maximum of three students).
Please use the Notes section of the booking confirmation to let us know your preferred session duration, the time and date that is best for you and what kind of project you would like – painting, drawing, collage and printmaking are all available, or in any combination, time allowing. Please give us as much notice as possible so that we can find the best teacher for you.
